The Centre for British Politics and Government and the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership, in collaboration with the University of Paris, will initiate a seminar series on gender and politics with the first seminar entitled ‘Gender, conservatism and populism: comparing the British and French experience’. The objective of the series is to develop a new strand in the analysis of British politics drawing on the experience of Brexit and comparable events in other European countries.

The series will be policy relevant with the format of a presentation by one or more academics with a response from an experienced policy maker.

The series will be launched on Tuesday 18th June. The seminar will begin at 1600 with a drinks reception to follow.
