My current research examines the lives of Egyptian female call centre workers, focusing on their resistance to night shifts and the intersection of gender, labour policies, and globalisation. Through an anthropological lens, I aim to explore how local traditions and global economic forces shape the daily experiences and decisions of these workers. This research will contribute to broader discussions on gendered labour and economic inequality in the global economy.
